1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”):

  • “We”, “us”, “our” refers to Pasture to Plate

  • “You”, “your”, “customer” refers to the purchaser

  • “Products” refers to all goods sold by us, including fresh and frozen meat

  • “Website” refers to our online sales platform

2. About Us

Pasture to Plate supplies pasture-fed meat produced in the UK using regenerative farming methods. We sell directly to consumers via our website and other approved sales channels.

3. Application of These Terms

These Terms apply to all orders placed with Pasture to Plate. By placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

4. Products

4.1 All Products sold are perishable food items.
4.2 Product descriptions, weights, and images are provided for guidance only. As our meat is produced naturally, weights and appearance may vary.
4.3 Where necessary, we reserve the right to substitute individual cuts with alternatives of equal or greater value.

5. Orders

5.1 All orders are subject to availability and acceptance.
5.2 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including where:

  • Products are unavailable

  • Pricing errors have occurred

  • Fraud or misuse is suspected

5.3 A contract is formed only once your order has been accepted and payment received.

6. Pricing and Payment

6.1 All prices are shown in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable.
6.2 Payment must be made in full at the time of ordering.
6.3 Prices may change at any time, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed.

7. Delivery and Collection

7.1 Delivery and collection dates are selected at checkout.
7.2 You are responsible for ensuring:

  • Accurate delivery or collection information

  • Availability to receive the Products

7.3 Risk in the Products passes to you upon delivery or collection.
7.4 Ownership of the Products passes to you once full payment has been received.

8. Storage and Handling

8.1 Once delivered or collected, you are responsible for storing Products in accordance with the instructions provided.
8.2 We accept no liability for spoilage resulting from improper storage after delivery or collection.

9. Right to Cancel

9.1 Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, perishable goods, including fresh or frozen meat, are exempt from the 14-day right to cancel.
9.2 As such, we do not accept cancellations or returns due to change of mind.

10. Faulty or Incorrect Products

10.1 Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Products must be as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality.
10.2 If Products arrive damaged, unsafe, spoiled, or incorrect, you must notify us within 24 hours of delivery.
10.3 Where a fault is confirmed, we will offer:

  • A refund

  • A replacement

  • Or a partial refund, where appropriate

10.4 Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

11. Limitation of Liability

11.1 We are not liable for losses resulting from:

  • Improper storage or handling after delivery

  • Delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control

  • Indirect or consequential losses

11.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence

  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation

  • Any matter which cannot be excluded under UK law

12. Food Safety and Allergens

12.1 Products are prepared and packed in approved facilities operating to UK food hygiene standards.
12.2 While care is taken, Products may be handled in environments where allergens are present.

13. Intellectual Property

All content on the Website, including text, images, logos, and branding, remains our intellectual property and may not be reproduced without permission.

14. Amendments

We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. The version in force at the time of your order will apply.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

17. Subscription Services

17.1 We may offer Products on a subscription basis, whereby you agree to receive recurring deliveries at the frequency selected at checkout.

17.2 By purchasing a subscription, you authorise us to take recurring payments using your chosen payment method until the subscription is cancelled in accordance with these Terms.

18. Subscription Payments

18.1 Subscription payments will be charged automatically in advance of each delivery cycle.
18.2 Prices will be clearly displayed at the time of sign-up.
18.3 We reserve the right to amend subscription pricing. Any price changes will be communicated in advance and will apply only to future deliveries.

19. Subscription Content and Variations

19.1 Due to the nature of regenerative farming and whole-animal butchery:

  • Cuts, weights, and contents may vary between deliveries

  • Product images and descriptions are indicative only

19.2 Where necessary, we reserve the right to substitute Products or cuts with alternatives of equal or greater value, without reducing overall quality.

20. Cancelling or Pausing a Subscription

20.1 You may cancel or pause your subscription at any time before the next billing date via your account or by contacting us directly.
20.2 Cancellations or pauses made after a billing date will apply to the following delivery cycle.

21. Subscription Cooling-Off Rights

21.1 Where a subscription includes the supply of perishable goods, the statutory 14-day cooling-off period does notapply to individual deliveries once they have been dispatched.
21.2 You may cancel the subscription itself at any time in accordance with clause 20, but we cannot offer refunds for dispatched or delivered subscription boxes.

22. Failed Payments

22.1 If a subscription payment fails:

  • We may attempt to reprocess the payment

  • We reserve the right to suspend or cancel the subscription

22.2 We are not responsible for missed deliveries caused by failed payments.

23. Delivery and Storage for Subscriptions

23.1 Delivery obligations and risk transfer for subscription orders follow the same terms set out in Sections 7 and 8 of these Terms.
23.2 Once delivered, responsibility for proper storage passes to you.

24. Faulty Subscription Products

24.1 If Products supplied under a subscription are faulty, damaged, unsafe, or incorrect, you must notify us within 24 hours of delivery.
24.2 Any remedies will be provided in accordance with Section 10 of these Terms.
